LIFE IS MADE OF LITTLE THINGS

It has been ages since I found this picture online and I knew- one day I'll make a bracelet like that myself.

The only thing that has been keeping me from it was finding a perfect size brass hex nuts. But as people say: there's nothing that you cannot buy on eBay. It's super easy to make one of these, and it doesn't cost much.

All you need is:

  • a handful of brass hex nuts (size M3)
  • leather cord
  • matching chain and a clasp.

And then you start braiding. The same way you do with your hair before going to bed...the difference is that you need to add a hex nut on the cord before making every move. Don't forget to secure the ends. Then add a small chain, a clasp and voila!

It's perfect! I love the colour, materials, the way it looks and feels on my hand...adds some toughness to the look.
Match with other rings, watches, other bracelets...feel free to improvise.

I found a perfect match- my vintage mechanic watch ring (or at least what's left of it). I found it in a vintage market in Camden.

Good luck and good look!

LBD with an edge!

Long time no see...but I'll keep my excuses to myself. While spinning in a day-to-day routine I was struck by a new idea. Since I had some leftovers from my Leather Sequin jumper, I've decided to reuse it, as my boring figure-fit dress was crying for a makeover. Of course it couldn't be another leather sequin DIY...so I came up with fun way of changing those tiny sequins.

I have over-painted back sides of all of them. Using white fabric paint I've created a nice print of a feather/ leaf. Which kind of gives an impression of Hard and Soft.

I've chosen to decorate the dress by sewing circles very close to each other to give some shape to the sleeves.

And here it is, the final result: a sexy LBD (little black dress) with some edge! Can't wait to rock it with a pair of my shiny flats and leather jacket!

Please don't hesitate to comment and leave feedback!

ARE YOU READY TO SHOW SOME LEGS?

Hey there,

Here I am with another re-fashion DIY. This time is something BLUE, something DENIM and something CATCHING the EYE. Everybody knows that denim shorts are always in fashion and a must-have for every summer.  I've decided to use rainy London days to prepare for the hot summer which is, hopefully, coming soon.

For this project I had to destroy my old jeans...oh, well. Beauty requires sacrifice...

And that's how it turned out

With a result like that I don't even miss my old jeans!

!!! Do you have any interesting summer re-fashion ideas? please share a link to it below in the comments window.

The Famous Leather DIY

For some time now, on my Facebook page, I have been talking about my big and challenging DIY project - Leather sequin jumper. Ever since I saw this fabulous cardigan on PHOSPHENE, I knew I had to make something like this. Not long after that I bought some recycled leather and while waiting for it to be delivered I found the base of my creation - a simple knitted jumper from H&M.

And then it started...The most challenging part (well at least for my hands :D) was cutting those tiny circles...I would have never thought that scissors could be that uncomfortable to use.

By the time I hit 300 I couldn't wait any longer, had to start sewing the circles on...

So I kept going on and on until I realized that more is not always better! So finally I've settled with abstract leather sequin detailing at the bottom of the jumper. And here is the final product of a few days cutting and sewing, re-thinking and editing...

Super easy to style with a pair of trousers and some leather details. Add a spark of silver and your'e a STAR!

PARTY T-SHIRT IDEA

Birthday gift- a nightmare? For sure...
Am I the only one finds it difficult to get an original present for a person you care about? Fortunately, I was hit by a perfect idea for my cousins 18th birthday.

With a little help from almighty internet and inspiration by Jack Daniels.....Here it is "The Party Top"!

Wish to do it yourself? Piece of cake!

All you need is a T-shirt, fabric paint, something to make some marks on the fabric - you may use some white chalk or a piece of soap...and lets not forget patience and precision.

Lets add some inspirational sound!

Aztec Variations

I thought I'd share a pair of my older creations which had been inspired by Aztec patterns.

The first one is monochromatic pattern made by stamping fabric paint on a basic white top. (I cut potato to shape the stamps). And finally, some permanent marker for a nice finish.

For the second top I've chosen some earthy colours and feathery design. An important tip: when using fabric paint do not forget to iron carefully to prevent the paint from washing off.

Go ahead for summery look which is easy to get by combining some nice pair of denim shorts or a fun skirt with a nice Aztec patterned top.

BLACK and GOLD

Every girl needs something Black and something Gold. This is a 2in1 piece of my wardrobe which is very easy to do yourself.

Old button-up top came in handy when I decided to get myself one of those pop up shoulder pieces. Handful of golden jewellery beads, needle and a thread made a simple miracle.

What I love about (re)making things myself the most is that they become more precious and one of the kind.
